1 · Who is responsible
Hugo Cundy, trading as Hugo's Dog Club, is the data controller. For anything about your data — a copy of it, a correction, or its deletion — email hugo@hugosdogclub.co.uk or ring 07724 522 679.
2 · What is collected, and why
The enquiry form collects your name, email address, telephone number, address and postcode, along with details about your dog — name, breed, temperament, and anything else you choose to tell us. It is used for one thing: to answer your enquiry and, if you go ahead, to look after your dog properly.
The lawful basis is legitimate interest for replying to an enquiry, and contract for looking after your dog once booked. Marketing email is sent on consent alone, given by ticking the box — never assumed.
3 · How long it is kept
4 · Who else sees it
Your data is never sold and never shared for marketing. It is held in the Nexus platform, which runs the website, the enquiry records and the mailing list.
5 · Cookies and measurement
6 · Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, object to how it is used, and withdraw consent for marketing at any time — every newsletter carries an unsubscribe link. Requests are answered within one month. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
7 · Photographs of your dog
Photographs are only published with the owner's permission, and that permission can be withdrawn at any time. Ask and the photograph comes down.
